Who is responsible

What we collect
- Your email address, and your name and photo if you enter them. The email is needed to give you an account; the rest is optional.
- What you bought: the course, the amount, the date, and whether a subscription is running. We do not store your card number — it never reaches us.
- What you have finished: which lessons you marked done, so the course remembers where you were.
- Comments you write under a lesson, and who wrote them.
- A count of how many times a course page was opened. This is a counter, not a profile.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses, for security and debugging.
Why we may hold it
To give you what you paid for, and to run your account — that is the contract between us.
To meet accounting and tax obligations, which is a legal duty.
To keep the service secure and working, which is our legitimate interest and yours.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers, each doing one job:
- Supabase — accounts, the database and uploaded files.
- Stripe — payments. Your card details go to Stripe directly and we receive only the outcome, the amount and the last digits.
- Bunny.net — video hosting and delivery.
- Vercel — hosting of the site itself.
- Resend — the emails we send you about a purchase.
These providers act on our instructions. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards those providers publish.
Cookies
We set a cookie that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers your language. That is all. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker on this site.
How long we keep it
Your account and its data stay while the account exists. Delete the account and we remove it, apart from what accounting law requires us to keep about a payment — normally [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. seven years].
Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then discarded.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to what we do with it. Write to us and we answer within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in [COUNTRY] if you think we have got it wrong.
Children
Znavo is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly hold data about them; tell us if you believe we do and we will remove it.
